During one of the television
transmissions, Stafford announced:
"We thought we'd bring you a little disc jockey work. This is Tom and John on the guitar and the three of us singing." Stafford then proceeded to play tapes of "Up, Up and Away" and "Fly Me to the Moon." Mission Control remarked that Stafford's voice sounded like it was changing - Stafford replied that space flight makes your voice "a little higher." - Washinton Post, 5-20-69 & Houston Post, 5-20-69 |
