STS-1 crew members at RMS controls in Columbia - Looking aft toward the cargo bay of NASA's Space Shuttle Orbiter 102 vehicle, Columbia, Astronauts John W. Young, left, and Robert L. Crippen, preview some of the intravehicular activity expected to take place during NASA's first Shuttle orbiter flight test next year. They are commander and pilot, respectively, for the STS-1 mission. Columbia is to be moved on November 23 from the orbiter processing facility at Kennedy Space Center [KSC] to that center's vehicle assembly building [VAB].
