Wings Over Houston Airshow

October 14, 1999
The Lloyd P. Nolen Lifetime Achievement in Aviation Award was first awarded in 1989 by the Wings Over Houston Executive Committee to honor an individual, organization, or company/corporation who/which has dedicated a substantial period of his/her life or its existence to the promotion or advancement of aviation. Candidates may come from all aspects of aviation, not just pilots or air crews. The award is not given for individual single accomplishments, regardless of how significant. Primary considerations are those of commitments and personal, but not monetary, contributions to aviation over an extended period of time.
