The Corona Award
Rotary National Award for Space Achievement Foundation
March 6, 1997
The Corona Award, presented by the Rotary National Award for Space Achievement Foundation which was founded by the Space Center Rotary Club of Houston, recognizes a distinguished lifetime of achievement in the exploration of space and is made only when the Foundation board members feel that exceptional merit demands this special conferment. The only other winners of this award have been Dr. Robert Gilruth in 1992 and Walter Cronkite in 1999.
