John Young (left) and Charlie Duke explore the Rio Grande Gorge at Taos, New Mexico. They are standing on the west rim. John is taking pictures of the east wall with a Hasselblad equipped with a 500mm lens. The rock in the walls of the gorge primarily derive from basaltic lava flows.
